In 2014, I embarked on a unique project targeting the U.S. market: Ocean Crystal. This concept, developed under the Mustad brand, was designed to capture the essence of saltwater sport fishing, combining functionality with a visually striking identity.
The name Ocean Crystal reflects the inspiration behind the design—a celebration of saltwater purity and natural beauty. A recurring graphic pattern, drawn from the intricate geometry of salt crystals, unified the entire product range. This consistency in design reinforced the brand’s core message while standing out in a competitive market.
For me, creating something exceptional starts with standing out from the crowd. It’s about attracting attention, then sustaining it with cohesive and impactful design. Ocean Crystal remains a proud testament to my approach - melding creativity, innovation, and strategic branding into a unified whole.
